on my death bed
No parent should have to bury their child. Help us help this family with the greatest loss a Parent could ever know.
This is Alysha Smith. She is one of you, one of us. Her life ended abruptly Monday. Dec 2nd. She left behind many friends and family members and now they need our help to make sure this amazing young girl gets the burial she deserves.
Even if you can’t donate, please, pass this along. The family needs our help and every little bit counts.
Go ahead and think we’re the only intelligent life out there. You go right ahead.
every time i see pictures of this sculpture i wonder why people crop out the best part
BOTH THESE GOATS ARE POPPIN ROCK SOLID BONERS
It was a dirty job, but Bjarni Mikkelsen, a marine biologist at the National Museum of the Faroe Islands, had to do it.
After two whales died this week near the Faroe Islands, the government wanted to use one of the skeletons in the National Museum. So Mikkelsen began the first step of cutting the animal’s gut open. But little did he expect that it would explode in his face.
“The animal was more than two days old when we took it so we knew there would be some pressure on the inside, but nothing like what happened,” he told the Daily Mail.
I’m ambivalent about this.
On the one hand: “Haha!”
On the other: “Oh dear God no”
My friends and I had a long dinner conversation trying to decide what job title you needed to explode dead whales that wash up on the beach.
little did we know they explode all on their own.
Back when whale oil was a big thing one of the hazards of working int hat industry was whale corpses exploding on you.
One person wrote of how dangerous it was when the gasses built up and a female that was pregnant could explode, launching a fetus the size of a car at you.
It would make for a pretty badass obituary though.
"Killed when hit by an exploding whale’s unborn calf travelling at 100 mph."
I just want to die. My life is shit and always will be shit and everyday is just a reminder of how no one does or ever will give an actual shit about me.
A little story based on a doodle I drew one night :)
The original story is “Hold Close” by Ingrid Tan, not some “doodle” you drew. http://ingridtan.deviantart.com/art/Hold-Close-298355905
Sorry, can we please can we not just jump to making accusations? A couple of people have already made me aware of that comic and how similar they are.
I am not in the business of plagiarism or art theft. It’s a waste of time, effort and is massively disrespectful to the original artist. Not to mention that if you do this you most likely will eventually get found out and it’s ultimately a pointless exercise (and it’s a dick move).
The ‘Hold Close’ comic is stunning. Had I been aware of it I would have probably never made my comic because the concept is so similar. My comic genuinely did come from a doodle I drew before bed one night. The doodle was a yin-yang symbol where one half was fire and the other water (if you google that there are probably thousands of the things) and they looked like they were hugging. I gave them little faces and thought they were cute and then made a comic of them falling in love and creating a steam baby.
If you personify these two opposing elements and make them fall in love I honestly can’t see any other conclusion than them becoming steam (unless you don’t want a satisfying ending). Fire and water are not a unique or unpopular theme in story telling, even more so the idea of forbidden love (think Romeo and Juliet and the countless things that can be linked to that).
I don’t make a habit of making inferior copies of other peoples’ work (or do it at all to be honest). If ‘Hold Close’ had at least been the inspiration for my comic I would have at least had the common decency to state that point.
I have way too much respect for anyone who creates art. I know from experience what it’s like if someone steals or plagiarises your work. It’s incredibly frustrating and I wouldn’t want to do that to anyone else.
That’s pretty much all I have to say on this. If anyone still wants to believe I’m conceited or stupid enough to take that beautiful comic and rip it off then I don’t know what else I could say to convince you otherwise. Or you can take that it’s a genuine coincidence spawned from the same concept of fire and water falling in love and the limited number of outcomes that it could produce.
This is the Black Satellite which has been CLAIMED TO BE orbiting the earth since it was discovered in the 60s. The origin of this satellite is unknown. It is claimed to be heavier and bigger than any satellite launched by either the U.S or USSR. It was also in polar orbit which is often used for earth mapping.
There is no hard evidence to prove any of this, in fact there is very little. People claim that this was covered up by the government, but there isn’t much the government can keep hidden.
This one is for you to decide.
